You must have been using a Mac. Really sorry, but as I mentioned in the author's comments, this game has some compatibility issues with the Mac flash player. I'll try to fix it in the future.

I beat the game once.

Yeah, it was really cool.
But I tried the "click here to play stranglethorn fever" button on your site, but it came up with a blank page saying :

Please fix this, or tell me how to fix it.
And there was a bit of extra humor, talk to the guy next to the purple guy with the staff for a reference to something...

Cool, I was looking for this.

Some noob gave my game an extremely bad score.
Here are some (violent) ideas I came up with for weapons :
1. Circular saw (cut him in half)
2. Staple gun (for his face)
3. Shotgun (blast him to bits)
4. Paper Shredder (hold it over is head and have it cut him into little strips)
5. His arm (tear it off and beat him to death with it)
If you're still updating this, try and add one of these.

I liked it.

I don't care if you ask for a five. Even though that's kinda a stupid thing to do sometimes, this was a good dress up game. I enjoyed it enough to say that it belongs on newgrounds. I hope it passes.

Great idea.

I like sprites,
I like games,
and I like parody-type things.
So this is pretty cool.
I noticed a few glitches (try holding the c key while switching between weapons), and I think it would be funny to see an italian plumber running around with weapons so big they look like they belong in Doom or something.
It needs more enemies and/or weapons (possibly some you need to unlock) or maybe an infinite-enemy mode where you press a key (maybe the down arrow) to spawn an enemy. Or some boss battles (where you unlock weapons).
